If you find yourself wandering the vibrant heart of Portland at Pioneer Courthouse Square, don’t miss the delightful gem known as Fried Egg I'm In Love. This breakfast haven, housed in a striking yellow food truck, offers a mouthwatering array of gourmet egg sandwiches that are sure to satisfy every breakfast craving.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Yolko Ono—a signature sandwich crafted on toasted sourdough, featuring an over-medium fried egg, a house-made sausage patty, and a luscious, nut-infused pesto that adds a tantalizing kick to every bite. For those looking for a protein-packed experience, the Smells Like Protein Spirit is a fantastic choice, boasting the same flavorful sourdough base with your pick of sausage alongside melted cheddar and a perfectly cooked egg. If you prefer something lighter, relish the simple yet classic toast options, available in both regular and gluten-free varieties.

The atmosphere around the food truck complements the experience beautifully. It's not just about indulging in delightful food; it's the fusion of Portland's local vibe with the culinary artistry that makes this spot irresistible. You may find yourself sitting on the nearby brick steps, savoring the delicious flavors while soaking in the lively city sounds—a perfect way to start any day.

Customer reviews speak volumes about the quality here. As Jake Egbert notes, it's a must-visit for out-of-town guests wanting to experience gourmet egg sandwiches with a local twist. Many have praised the freshness and flavor, with Abdul Chamseddine highlighting the excellent customer service that keeps patrons returning for more. It’s this blend of friendly service and delicious offerings that truly sets Fried Egg I’m In Love apart.

Despite its popularity, the wait for your food is always worthwhile. Emily B shares her experience patiently waiting for the Sriracha and Huevo Mutilation sandwiches—both declared a resounding 10/10. The bustling vibe adds to the charm, making every visit feel like part of a larger community orientation around food.

So whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to swing by this delightful food truck and immerse yourself in Portland’s breakfast culture. Your taste buds will thank you!

We take all our out-of-town visitors here. Delicious egg sandwiches with the local flavor of Pioneer Square. This past Saturday we treated our nephew to gourmet egg sandwiches from a food truck, something he's not seen in the Midwest (gourmet anything from a food truck). As we sat waiting in the shade upon chairs provided by IKEA, we listened to the dulcet sounds of the city... the gentle fluttering chorus of coos and clucks of the city pigeons was layered with tinny christian music emanating from a box truck parked in the center of the square. The band was promoting something called Heaven to Earth and its members all stood sweating, crammed in the open box save the drummer, who somehow earned a spot on the paver bricks where he could at least feel the breeze. All of this was punctuated by the shrieks of a woman doing her best to evade a small fleet of security personnel bedecked in bright yellow vests... She came around Starbucks from the North, wailed a hasty retreat, then cut straight through the center of everything, pausing her screams just long enough to hurl an insult toward the box truck full of Christians... Ah, Portland in the summer! Anyway, the sandwiches were the bomb. Can't wait until our next visitors give us another excuse to dine here again! If you're eating it on the road I recommend passing on the delicious pesto... it gets oily and messy to eat. However, if you have the time to sit and eat with a pile of napkins at hand the pesto is well worth the mess!

We stopped by Fried Egg I’m In Love and were seriously impressed! We ordered the Vegan and the Sara, and it was packed with flavor—definitely not your average breakfast sandwich. The avocado was a perfect blend with the cheese. On top of that, the customer service was amazing—the guy was super friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Great food, great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

We got the Sriracha sandwich and the Huevo Mutilation sandwich and both were 10/10!! This food truck is super busy, we waited around 20 minutes for the food but super worth the wait. There are brick steps all around the food truck that you can sit and eat.

Yummy Yolko Ono!!! Sandwich has a delicious pesto on it. Long line at breakfast time so we had lunch here with no wait. Food truck so we ate on the steps nearby.

Agree with everything that has been said. Food truck is serving delicious breakfast sandwiches. Got the Yolko Zeppelin and loved it. The pesto has a little kick which was a nice surprise. Travels well to as I was able to carry to the Saturday Market and sandwich was still fresh.

Apparently, food carts are very popular in Portland, and a friend recommended we try Fried Egg for breakfast. When we arrived, there was already a short line, always a good sign. We placed our order, and while it took a little time for the food to come out, it wasn’t too long. Unfortunately, there was no seating area nearby, so we took our order back to the hotel to eat. The sandwiches were delicious and absolutely worth both the price and the short wait.

Amazing can’t say enough. Had Yolko deluxe. $12.50. Insanely delicious. Nice outdoors seating too. Don’t even think just go!

A special little surprise in the park in a bright yellow trailer! At first I thought they were unexpectedly closed as I got there at 8am, but they were running a bit late and opened at 8:03. I was first in line and glad I waited! I ordered two Yokeo Onos and they were nothing like we’ve had before. Greg food and friendly service. Keep it up!
